"I do speak Spanish: An experience to tell."

Program Summary:
Los cursos permiten dominar el español en contextos comunicativos y de interacción.
Program description:
The Fray Bernardo de Lugo OP language Institute of the Universidad Santo Tomás seeks, through its Spanish courses for foreigners, to contribute to the development of functional and cultural language skills which will allow students to achieve different communicative levels as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for the teaching and assessment of languages.
Students are expected to achieve a general linguistic mastery which would properly allow them to communicate orally and in writing in employment, academic and leisure settings, and to be able to understand the main points of a text in standard language. We also strive for students to be able to perform in most situations that may arise during a trip to places where Spanish is spoken.
The methodology for these courses is primarily based on a communicative approach, which requires the interactive development of the four language skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening), while incorporating the cultural component as a social facilitator which will allow students to act in everyday situations.
Program aimed at: Adult foreigners, college students and professionals interested in acquiring and / or expanding their knowledge of Spanish, while living the experience of Colombian culture in one of the oldest and most renowned universities in Colombia.
